What I Build

Products

The Silo Ecosystem — privacy-first personal life-tracking. Own your data. Build your legacy.

The Vision

Tractor & Silo is the platform Quantified Selfers have always wanted. For 15+ years, a generation of us has been deliberately capturing — biometric bands, GPS trackers, check-ins, screen recordings, health data, journals, photographs — believing the data was worth keeping. No platform ever existed that could pull it all together. This is that platform, in active development.

Everything in the ecosystem exists to produce a journal entry worth keeping and handing down. We organize life data around the 5Ws — Who, What, When, Where, and Why — because that’s how humans naturally remember.

The spine is a three-verb arc: Capture · Enrich · Synthesize. Capture happens on the hardware in your pocket and on your desk — and the capture surface is still expanding. Enrichment is the context only you can add. Synthesis is the gift you’re buying for future-you — the inevitability that capture earns. We’re building toward it, and some of the work can already run on the Apple Silicon you already own .

The Legacy Test: “Will my children find this meaningful in 30 years?” — this guides every feature decision.

How the Harvest Works

Your life is the farm. Each app and service works a different field — your iPhone captures where you go, your Mac records what you’re working on, RescueTime measures your productivity, GitHub logs your code, Limitless and Omi transcribe your conversations.

The tractor goes out to every field and brings the harvest home. Each source adds its own detail — where you went, what you built, who you talked to. The silo is where it’s stored, preserved, and enriched — per-provider daily summaries, the people you were with, and the context only you can add. The cross-source synthesis layer — the one that lets you ask the substrate what it knows — is what we’re building toward next.

That’s the idea behind the name. The tractor harvests your data from every source. The silo stores and preserves it. Your journal is what you’re left with — something worth keeping and handing down.

The Fields The Silo

Capture happens on the hardware you already own. Tractor & Silo for iPhone harvests your timeline on-device; Lens for Mac captures and summarizes locally on Apple Silicon. Connect them to your Tractor & Silo journal when you’re ready for the silo to enrich the full picture — and to be ready for the cross-source synthesis we’re building toward.

Tractor & Silo YOUR LIFE JOURNAL · CAPTURE · ENRICH

The silo where all your harvested data is stored and preserved. A web application that integrates data from capture apps and connected services, generates per-provider daily summaries, and gives you a place to enrich it with the context only you can add. The substrate where future cross-source synthesis will run.

  • Multi-provider data integration with per-provider daily summaries
  • Calendar visualization: daily, weekly, monthly, yearly views
  • Place and participant tracking with geolocation
  • Add context, meaning, and memories to any experience
  • Data-as-Design visualization aesthetic
  • Capture surface still expanding — more integrated providers coming

Tractor & Silo for iPhone CAPTURE · LIVE ON THE APP STORE

Your life timeline in your pocket. Automatically captures where you go and when — running quietly in the background — and syncs to your journal so the rest of the ecosystem has something to enrich. Built for the people who’ve been deliberately capturing their lives for years and have always wanted a substrate to bring it together.

  • Automatic location tracking and place detection
  • Daily timeline visualization with map views
  • Photo timeline integration from your library
  • Hybrid by design: capture is on-device, your enriched journal lives in the silo your account owns
  • Syncs to Tractor & Silo for context, people, and per-provider daily summaries

Lens for Mac CAPTURE + ON-DEVICE SUMMARIZATION · SHIPPING

The desktop lifelogging layer. Runs quietly on your Mac, capturing context automatically — screenshots, active applications, audio transcripts — and runs its daily summaries on the Apple Silicon you already own. The passive data that fills in the gaps, processed where it’s collected.

  • Automated screen and context capture
  • On-device daily summarization with Apple Intelligence and local models (Gemma, Ollama)
  • Activity and input monitoring
  • Mac-local by default: your archive doesn’t leave the machine unless you tell it to
  • Optional sync to Tractor & Silo to enrich your daily journal

Philosophy

Data ownership is a right, not a feature. Your life data should live on your terms — exportable, portable, yours forever. We don’t sell data, we don’t mine it, we don’t lock it in.

Capture happens on your hardware. Tractor & Silo for iPhone captures your timeline on-device; Lens for Mac captures and summarizes locally on Apple Silicon. Lens is Mac-local by default. Tractor & Silo for iPhone is hybrid by design — capture is local, your enriched journal lives in the silo your account owns — and you can export your data at any time.

The silo is where the harvest becomes a story. Per-provider daily summaries, participant tracking, contextual enrichment — and the cross-source synthesis layer we’re building toward, the gift you’re buying for future-you. Capture is what we do today. Enrich is the habit we invite you into. Synthesis is the inevitability that capture earns.

Built by one person, for real people. No venture capital, no growth-at-all-costs pressure. Just thoughtful software that earns its place in your daily life.
